Mapkita vs doing it yourself
Everything Mapkita does on Google you can also do yourself, for free, in Google Business Profile. The difference is who remembers, who writes, and how often you open the app between customers.
The short answer
Which one fits your shop
Pick Mapkita if…
- Reviews come in faster than you can answer them.
- You have missed a holiday-hours change before.
- You want the 5-star thank-yous handled and only the hard ones sent to you.
Pick Doing it yourself if…
- You get a few reviews a week and like writing the replies.
- Your hours rarely change.
- Someone on your team already looks after your Google profile.

Doing it yourself, well
Answer the bad reviews first: they are what the next customer reads. Keep each reply short, name what the customer mentioned, and say what you changed.
Before every long weekend (Holy Week, Undas, Christmas and New Year) open your profile and confirm your special hours, even if you are open as usual. Google says confirming them shows customers your hours are accurate.[3]
Stay the primary owner of your profile, and add staff as managers so they can reply without your login.[5]
Start free, add help later
Mapkita's Monitor plan costs nothing: it alerts you to new reviews, drafts 3 replies a month and gives you a review QR code. If the replies start piling up, Autopilot is ₱699 a month with 14 days free and no card. Our free review reply tool works without signing up.
