Key takeaways

  • Google's free Marketing Kit, the old source of official "Review us on Google" stickers, was retired in 2024. Its address now just opens the Business Profile homepage.
  • What Google gives you today is a review link and a QR code, under Read reviews then Get more reviews in your Business Profile.
  • The Google reviews logo PNGs sold or shared online are not official. A sign with plain text, stars and your QR does the same job with no trademark risk.
  • Google has no official reviews widget for websites. Link to your profile instead, and quote reviews only with the reviewer's OK.

Can I use the Google logo on my website or shop?

Most owners searching for the Google reviews logo want the same thing: a sticker or poster for the counter that says "Review us on Google", with the familiar G on it. The short answer is that the logo belongs to Google, and Google decides how it is used.

Google's rules live on its Partner Marketing Hub. Its general logo page, how to show Google's brand, says not to use the Google logo in marketing for a business or in a way that implies Google endorses you, and that marketing uses need approval. A separate page on referencing customer reviews is narrower. When you point people to your reviews, it allows the official G or the full Google wordmark, as long as you follow its rules:

  • Use only the official, current logo files, unchanged. No home-made badges, lockups or recoloured G.
  • Don't put stars next to the Google name or logo.
  • Don't call it a "Google rating" or say you are "Google-rated". The rating comes from customers, not from Google.
  • When you show your average rating or number of reviews, add an "as of" date.
  • Get the reviewer's consent before quoting their review on your website, in print or in an ad.

Where to get official Google review stickers and posters

For years the answer was Google's Business Profile Marketing Kit, a free site where a verified business typed its name and got stickers, posters and social posts with its own reviews on them. That site went offline in 2024. The old address, marketingkit.withgoogle.com, now just redirects to the Business Profile homepage, and Google has not launched a replacement. Guides that still send you there are out of date.

What Google offers today is simpler. In your Business Profile, open Read reviews, then Get more reviews. You can copy your review link, share it by email, WhatsApp or Facebook, or download a QR code. Google's own help page, create a Google link or QR code to request reviews, notes that the QR code can only be made from a computer browser, not from the phone app.

You get a plain QR image, not a designed poster. Most "official Google review sticker" listings on Shopee or Lazada are printed by resellers, and the Google reviews PNG files on free download sites are copies, often old or altered versions of the logo. Google's rules above say not to use either.

A free "Review us on Google" sign with your QR code

You don't need the logo for the sign to work. What gets a customer to leave a review is a clear ask and a code that opens the review box in one scan. The words "Google" and "review" in plain text tell people where they are going.

Start with your link. If you manage the profile, copy it from Get more reviews. If you don't, or the dashboard is being difficult, the free review link generator finds your business on Google Maps and builds the same link. Paste it into the review QR code generator to get a print-ready code, or use the review card maker for a card you can print and leave on tables or tuck into bags. Our templates use text and stars only. They never use Google's logo.

Keep the sign short. One line of thanks, one line of ask, the code, and your shop name:

  • "Salamat po! Happy with your visit? Scan to leave us a Google review."
  • "Nagustuhan mo ba? Isang review lang sa Google, malaking tulong na sa amin."
  • "Scan here to review [YOUR SHOP NAME] on Google. It takes one minute."

Showing Google reviews on your website

People searching for a Google review widget usually want their stars on their own site. Google has no official embeddable reviews widget. It used to host simple Business Profile websites, but those closed in 2024 too. So you have three honest options.

  • Link out. A plain button that says "Read our reviews on Google", pointing to your profile, is free and always up to date. If you write your rating next to it, add the date, in the form "[your rating] stars from [number] reviews, as of [month and year]".
  • Quote a few reviews yourself. Pick three recent ones, ask each reviewer if you may use their words, and type them on the page with the first name they used on Google. Google's review guidance requires that consent.
  • Use a plugin. Many website builders and WordPress plugins pull in Google reviews, and many of them charge a monthly fee once you pass the free tier. We don't recommend any paid one for a small shop. A link and three quoted reviews do the job, and there is nothing to break when the plugin changes its pricing.

Where to put the sign in a Philippine shop

The best spot is where a happy customer stands still with a phone in hand. A sign on the way out gets walked past. Timing matters more than design, and how to ask customers for Google reviews covers what to say and what Google forbids, like offering a freebie for a review.

  • The counter or cashier. People wait there for change or for their GCash payment to go through. A small standee next to the payment QR works well.
  • The table. In a carinderia, café or restaurant, a table tent gets read while waiting for food and again after the plate is cleared.
  • The receipt. Print the QR or the short link at the bottom. The customer reads it with the visit fresh.
  • The salon or barbershop mirror. A small card at the station, seen right after the reveal, when the customer is most pleased.
  • The door or window, facing in. Keep the code at least 3 cm wide and at eye level so it scans from a step away.
  • Takeout bags and delivery packs, for customers you never see at the counter.

What to do once the reviews come in

A sign brings reviews in. Replying is what shows the next customer that someone reads them. Answer each one, good and bad, within a day or two if you can. The Google review reply templates in Taglish and English give you a starting point. For the whole routine of asking, replying and handling the bad ones, see our review management guide for restaurants.

Frequently asked

Is it legal to use the Google review logo?
The logo is Google's trademark, so Google's rules decide how it can be used. Its guidance on customer reviews allows the official, unmodified G or wordmark when you point people to your reviews, with no stars beside it and no "Google rating" claims. Other marketing uses need approval. A sign with plain text and your QR avoids the question.
Where can I download a Google reviews badge?
Google no longer offers one. The Business Profile Marketing Kit, which had free stickers and posters, was retired in 2024. The badge files on free PNG sites are unofficial copies. Google now gives you a review link and a QR code under Get more reviews, and you can turn that into a printable sign with the free review QR code generator.
Does Google have an official reviews widget for websites?
No. Google does not offer an embeddable reviews widget for business websites. You can link to your profile with a button, quote a few reviews with the reviewers' permission, or use a third-party plugin. Many plugins turn into a paid subscription, which a small shop rarely needs.
What should a "Review us on Google" sign say?
Keep it to a thank-you, a short ask and the QR code. For example: "Salamat po! Happy with your visit? Scan to leave us a Google review." Add your shop name so customers know the code is yours. Never promise a discount or freebie in exchange, because Google removes reviews tied to rewards.
